how do you make yourself feel better?

what do you do when you feel like dirt? For me I eat, I don't worry about getting overweight because I have an overactive metabolism. I also listen to music, go to the beach, walk, cry(a little), and just being alone in general

nothing really. I havent felt down in years... i sometimes feel stressed and upset but it rarely lasts more than an hour, if that.

I used to be super depressed until i tried to kill myself a few times and realised i was being stupid. So I just thought, "sack it, I'll just do whatever, and take things as they come." It's certainly helped me tremendously, though i do think I'm becoming more detached from my emotions than normal people...

His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

well it's not easy for me, my mental stability isn't all that good, I can be moody and somethings just plain mean. I have angry problems so I just tend to stay isolated from people

it's rarely ever easy. It's all about state of mind, and i'm extremely grateful to be how i am right now, even if i end up failing the expectations of everyone... I'll always be generally happy... hopefully... though i'm pretty sure this happy streak will not last forever. It cant.

First of all, i wait until it's dark outside, then i put on my favourite hoodie and then i go for a walk. while I'm walking I Force myself to be happy (it works!).
I also hang around with friends as they make me feel that everything is alright  ^_^

I never talk to anybody about my problems as i don't think anyone would care if i was Depressed or not.
Plus i feel a responsibility to take care of my own problems myself.

might sound odd, but one thing that I found helps is howling, after a few drinks down the park, I thought "why not?" and it gives you this buzz, try it and see what I mean. Best you're not around people though at the time, they might think you're crazy/going to eat them.
-Also, working out, I love putting on some Iron Maiden, Ensiferum or whatever and just doing a cross country run, never fails to cheer me up.
-Going out to the woods too, I've always had this love of nature since a kid, I could spend so much time in the forest, you wouldn't believe.
-Concerts, going to see a band with friends, jumping in the pit, I love it!

from there come the dews which fall in the valley,

Take out my mental stress on something physically. Pillows, punchbags, anything you know you can punch with as much force as possible but will keep intact.

Crying works too.

The comfort of friends always works (internet or otherwise, I never really had many friends outside of the internet so internet friends help me feel better).

Meh, what I usually do. Tho I breakdown easily when I'm really down and can cry for half an hour or more <.<; (Bipolar problems.. seriouz buziness...)

Sad? I generally listen to music, and I found out that sad musics make me feel a bit better o.O usually, I avoid people

Angry? Kick pillow butt (lawl), or just listen to some harder rock music. It calms me down a bit XD Oh yea, also avoid people

Extremely happy (so much that you annoy everyone you talk to)? Take a few pills, a warm (hot, your choice lawl) cup of milk and go to bed xD

Yeah, I am a very strange fox when it comes to emotions... And musics have a big effect on me :P

Not sure if I'm bipolar (I don't even know what it is :p), but I do have massive emotional breakdowns from time to time. People say it's puberty. I don't know.

I can understand that, because it makes you think "I shouldn't be so down, it's not just me going through this and people are feeling worse out there".

Um...when I'm angry, I want to fight...right there and almost right at that moment, But video games help keep the anger at bay

When I'm angry, I play my guitar. I find that transfering everything in to intense death metal makes me feel better as well as sound amazing.

Sad? Smoke. D:

Well, that may be different. Bipolar is when you have sudden mood changes, but a bit different. You can go from neutral to super depressed or hyper happy in a few minutes. And those states can last days or weeks. More detail:

Quote from: Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia
Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, manic depressive disorder or bipolar affective disorder, is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a category of mood disorders defined by the presence of one or more episodes of abnormally elevated mood clinically referred to as mania or, if milder, hypomania. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes or symptoms, or mixed episodes in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time. These episodes are usually separated by periods of "normal" mood, but in some individuals, depression and mania may rapidly alternate, known as rapid cycling. Extreme manic episodes can sometimes lead to psychotic symptoms such as delusions and hallucinations. The disorder has been subdivided into bipolar I, bipolar II, cyclothymia, and other types, based on the nature and severity of mood episodes experienced; the range is often described as the bipolar spectrum.

Go for a run.  After a few minutes in a good run or jog you'll probably find yourself thinking more pleasant thoughts.  Plus it just feels good to move around when you're depressed.  To me anyway.   ;)
