The Boy Who Knew Not of Social Norms
« on: October 11, 2009, 01:51:07 AM »
As I probally told ya'll, or not I can never remember, I've been a shutin for many years so I have very little human contact. With a shortage of expierience I thought to ask ya'lls' opionion. Any feedback to feedback is pretty much welcome.
The first question I had was is it strange for the girl to ask you to be her boyfriend?

It seemed a little weird to ask this , but no one seems interested in the first one.
Have you'll ever met or known any black furries?

I'd like to report the awesome Jibba and Jakabee from 2 Sense.

Most notably, as the only two who provide contradictory talking points, but nonetheless. Yes, furries of every race, creed, and sexuality...and species imaginable exist.

If you mean personally, I don't myself.

I've seen a few on the internets, but i dont know none in real life. I dont know no furries in general.
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

I really don't know any myself, but I do like the art aspect and I do a little art myself. I just asked because they just seem so scarce. ^_^

well how can you tell if one is black or not if they're a furry?

I was talking about furries in general, not just fursuiters. Then again you have a point who can tell. :?

Yes, it is normal for girls to ask boys to be their boyfriend.
I don't know any black furries personally, but there is at least one on this site. I know that from the 'What DO you look like in real life?!' thread.

I might go check that thread out. Oh yeah... what if she asked me about the prom right after I agreed. Is that to forward. She even referred to it as a offer...ahh but I love her.

Not really. I mean, you agreed to be her boyfriend...girlfriends and boyfriends go to prom together. It may have been a really sudden/spur-of-the-moment kind of thing, but I don't think it was too forward since you had already agreed to be her boyfriend.:)

Hopefully that part wasn't serious, cus that sort of talk leads you straight down some bad alleys

Asia is correct. No one should say that they love the person at the beginning of the relationship (unless they're referring to the friendly kind of love). I can understand strongly liking someone, I mean, why would you enter a relationship if you didn't like the person. lol.
Sorry if that sounds mean in any way. I'm just not one of those people that believes in 'love at first sight' or saying you love someone three days into the relationship. My mate and I probably started saying it after a month (which to most is probably early), but that is enough time (in my mind) for you to know that you love someone (plus, I had been friends with him for two and half years before we started dating). And by how you are talking, it sounds like she asked you fairly recently, so yeah.

I believe in love at first sight. I've been with my chocolate cake for years and we're just as happy as ever!

But seriously, I must agree with Veesmith. Love is something that develops over time. I think that it starts out AS a crush then becomes love with the conflicts and agreements that follow courting or friendship. I also hope you didn't start the relationship out of boredom. That's...not a great idea, honestly.

Oh, except delicious pastries! They're exempt from any rules of love.
