Looking for a specific type of fur..
« on: June 17, 2010, 09:24:45 AM »
Hey all!

Ive tried a million different Jo-Annes and cant seem to find this certain type of fur.

Im looking for the type that looks like it has both the underhairs and guard hairs.
An example would be like this:

so specifically cream under, and dark quard hairs.

Any help at all would be much appreciated! ^_^
(i apologize in advance if this has already been asked!) :$

Yeah, I never had much luck at Joanns either. It's better to look online for fabric companies and just have it shipped to you, if you can. A lot of them will even send sample patches of the fur to you so you can be sure it's what you're looking for.

Something like this? http://www.prefurs.com/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=TWOLFB

That site has some other types too, their fur is more realistic than most I've seen, which is probably what you'd be looking for. Here's the list of all the furs they have: http://www.prefurs.com/10browse.asp?category=faux+fur+by+tissavel

Looks like they have a very good selection fur, and one of the best Jaguar furs I've seen. Always hard to find one that is right though.

Spots have to look right and end up in the right places for a really specific fursona.
I am Thagarhn, nothing more, nothing less.
