Hello there
To answer your questions:
What does it feel like?
I have always liked dressing up in costumes and cosplays. You can indeed pretend to be someone/something entirely else. Having something like a mask or a head to cover your face helps greatly in achieving that feeling
I remember the first time I wore a 'proper' Halloween mask (of a grinning skull with bright yellow/green eyes) and I put it on in the car, I like to just stare at people through the window while we were driving home (at the traffic lights I would do this
)
I like the reactions the people gave, how they responded. It was a very nice experience, and I kept having good experiences while cosplaying later on too at anime conventions, or wearing other costumes at fantasy fairs
How hot?
It can indeed get pretty hot. I think I prefer fursuiting (especially fullbody) during the winter. I'll still get warm and sweaty in the fursuit, but the cold air outside really helps keeping things cooled-down x3
Also, I don't really mind how warm it is outside. I noticed as long as there is shade nearby I can handle it. HOWEVER, I would dtrongly suggest against fursuiting when it is humid. I already knew it would be a bad idea, but I wanted to experience how bad it was, and if it was indeed extremely a bad idea to do so. So I went full fusuiting on a warm and HUMID day.
You will get warm quicker, you will have a very difficult time cooling down. Seeing as it is humid/moist when you sweat and the air is already humid, it is difficult to cool down. You will sweat a lot easier too, thus it kind of becomes this inevitable loop: You sweat, the air is moist, you can't cool down, you sweat more, etc.
So yeah, suiting with humid air is not a good idea
I don't know exactly what you mean with the comparing question.
Do you mean how to compare fursuiting with another experience, and if yes, with what specifically do you mean to compare? Heat, the 'transforming' experience, or something else?
