Finding Fluffy/stretchy/short pile fabric??
« on: February 04, 2017, 03:38:13 AM »
Wondering if there are any types of fabric that are both stretchy and short pile.
I have almost no experience in choosing fabrics so I really need help in this one :/
The only ideas I have so far is to
1. Shave down normal fur, but that shit isn't stretchy lmao. NFT fur is wayy too expensive and not a good idea.
2. Cuddle fleece or coral fleece. Can someone tell me the difference between these two? They look exactly the same. I haven't gone to the fabric store to check them out yet.

Send help lmao

http://www.fleecefun.com/1/post/2011/10/which-fleece-is-which-your-quick-start-guide-to-fleece.html Tells you about all the fleece types :) I'm not sure on short pile fur that stretches. Most lower quality fur has a bit of stretch to them, you can always see about finding some of them. The looser weave on the backing is what would give it the stretch, though it doesn't give very much.
