Feline Furry Who Howls

So this is just some random thing I noticed myself doing, and I wanted to know if anyone else has had similar experiences.

I'm a therian, my fursona is a white tiger, I'm a cat person, and yet it seems like every time I get really happy and excited, I have a tendency to howl like a wolf. I started thinking, and one of the only other animals I ever pretended to be as a child was a wolf. I don't really know if or how it's significant, but it always strikes me as weird that sometimes I feel more like a wolf than a tiger.

Anyone else have similar experience and/or insights to share?

I've had some rather similar experiences too. Even though I don't  consider myself therian, my fursona is a domestic cat, and I'm generally a cat person, I sometimes feel more like a wolf than anything else. It's weird...

I've been having similar experiences lately too... I'm a Dragonkin, and occasionally, I get the desire to howl or bark. I have always loved wolves, they have always been my favorite animal. But I love dragons equally. Urgh, So confusing >.<

It's a pretty normal characteristic among therians.

I had/have the same experience but on the flip side of the coin...I'm also an avid cat person but I have always been a wolf but have spoken more like a feline and act much more cat like under some circumstances...plus my fluffy more cat like tail that I have phantom auras with  Perhaps there is some overlap in the feline and lupine worlds?

I'm glad to know this is pretty common among therians. Maybe that speaks to some deeper truth about a common connection to all living things?

As a younger cub growing up, I played games and stuff. Whenever there was no option being Lion, I'd settle for Wolf.  I feel like my heart howls every now and then, and really tend to like Wolves. I have this feeling that I have some aspects of a wolf. Even had another Lion tell me that I resemble one.

Well for longer than I was a Coyote I was a Lion furry and to be honest I preferred wolves,
but I was a little more 'obsessive compulsive' than other people and the sheer amount of Wolf furries put me off.
I had a sort of 'fetish' for wolves I guess, and I liked to 'Howl' in roleplays and such, ah, good times.

I actually think that because it's a simple sound to make in excitement, that's probably why you do it-  though my fursona Is a wolf I do howl constantly in excitement for that reason-  im actually well known in the local hockey league to howl after goals

I howl out of pure excitement and joy. one time in the woods in the back of my house after school i set my bag down pulled out some math homework and started it then i look over a rock and notice it was wet so i decided "this is my area" so i wnet on the rock.      about a week later i got back out there and just relaxed i feel asleep woke up at 9ish and started home and heard a semi intune group howl then i look at the night sky and let out my first howl. funny enough i was responded by another howl .......but the rock was wet the next day
