Need help with 3ds Max

i am in a computer class and i am working with 3ds max 2013 and i need help. i am trying ot import a picture but it wont work. if anyone could help i would be very greatful

Make sure the picture you are trying to import is a bmp file, then drag and drop it on a face.

Actually, the file can be a gif, jpeg, or bmp.


In the materials you import it as a Bitmap layer, then you need to make sure you set up so that it doesn't get stretched by importing it again as a reference layer for the same material.


Not sure what the right term is since they seem to change it a little each year, and I'm working with 3DS Max 2012.
