Hmrrr. I "live" in Furcadia since 2006 and run a kinda own dream now. It is a really great game, I think.
The primitive graphic interface leaves a lot of things open. Things like roleplaying. The text interface allows sentence constructions that start with the own name, so you can leave out the *does something*-asterisk.
Multiple player generated dreams on different main maps for different main themes give plenty of choices to select.
And the best thing is: It is much more free to play than Second Life. (I know, you can play SL for free too, but as this game puts a lot of weight into optic, you have to look better than a freebie collector.) Furcadia gets financed by special sell things like fine designed avatar forms, space for a personal portrait and other items. A good roleplayer doesn't need them, though. :p
