I use Gimp 2.6.

Get picture  of teeth. (K9's showing)
And press P or select path tool.
Make triangle shape. DONT close triangle. (look like this >  only on k9)
Select Smudge tool. Smudge from tooth to triangle till blends and looks like tooth.\

I haven't done it in a long time (I'm focusing on my drawing/coloring skills) but I still love seeing people doing good pictures like this. Just have to say this again: AWESOME WORK! :D
