Any advice on drawing?
« on: July 05, 2010, 07:47:37 AM »
I'm not the best artist, although I use to have some talent. I want to better represent my fursona with a drawing, rather then an actual picture of a arctic fox. (although the real ones are cute  :3)
Do you think I should draw on paper first or get a program like photoshop or gimp to create a proper avatar?

The way I do it is I draw it on paper, scan it onto the computer, then I color it in on Photoshop.

You're not bad. You're better than me at drawing the body that's for sure. I've only been drawing furries for a about 5 months now and it kills me hoW much I wish I could draw like some of the pros on this site when I see their furries.
music is my emotion. im so flipping confused, i cant even tell what emotion im feeling at any given moment

Getting Photoshop doesn't make a drawing magically better.

You should work with what you're comfortable with, or whichever you need to make the final "look" of the drawing that you're going for.

Oh, you were going for a tutorial?
Yea WZ's completly right; no amount of Photpshopping will help if you don't have the basics. If you're comfortable with your drawing, you should definatly go in with some editing software. Do you need help in how to draw"
