I feel for your situation Luna.

But on the bright side in 4 years you'll be 18 and should be able to drive, and should (hopefully before 18) have a job and some money saved up.
Then you can attend all the fur cons you want, :D and your parents can't do anything about it.

Yep! But again... That's if we don't all  die in 2012

Blah, we aren't gonna die in 2012. There have been end-of-the-word predictions for thousands of years, and none of them were right. Why would this one be right? Honestly, I think the world will "end" suddenly before any prediction can be made. But that's going off topic...

If I have to, I'll wait until I'm 18 to go to Midwest FurFest. Heck, I have to wait until then to see Sekoshi. I have no freedom until the day I turn that age.

EDIT: Dang it, you posted it right before me, Luna! XD

Man... I'd really wanna go, but

1. i dont have a fursuit (probly dont need one, but id still like one if i went to a con)

and 2, my biggest issue, that would include coming out to my parents, who I really dont think need to know. They're restrictive enough without adding the wild and crazy furry to the list of reasons to do mean parental things to me.

have fun guys! maybe I'll show up after I'm in college!
Thank you to all the great furries I've met so far! I've never felt more at home...

OMG! I was wondering if anyone was going to MFF! I want to go super bad, but I don't have anyone to go to it with. I think would be more fun to go with other furries than by myself. :/

:/  I wish I could go... But maybe i could a few years from now... Unless the world explodes in 2012  :o

Well, I am driving from Oklahoma, and I can pick up people on my way if you want to pay for the extra gas!!! I hope to be there on the 18 or early the 19th.

I also have a room there: http://forum.furfest.org/index.php/topic,1102.0.html

Let me know if anyone is interested.

The Furfest room rate is $124, and for the airport Hyatt O'Hare, that is VERY good. Oh, yes, they also negotiated with the hotel to have FREE parking for con attendees! It is around $14-18 a day for the hotel parking normally.

No it is not required. In fact there are usually only around 400 fursuiters out of the 2000+ attending. I have been coming for years now, and last year was the first year I fursuited!

Of course, you can do what I did before I fursuited: I cosplayed. The first time was as a Gothic Lolta (aka EGL). I was super cute! I plan to cosplay in addition to fursuiting! I look super cute in the right cosplay!

Earlier this year I helped one other person organize a furmeet in northern MO/KS.
They did it around Sept.
Plus theyre thinking of doing it again this year.
It was a small furmeet, think there was possibly about 10-20 people there and not much happened but games and furriness.
Its called the Central Midwest Furmeet... you can find it on the wikipedia version for furries.
New things im playing with:

I've been thinking about going to this, but i've heard some bad stories.
See, i got to ACen (anime con held at the same place earlier in the year) and i've heard horrible things about attendees of MFF getting way too rowdy and such  :S
