The Stellenium

[Dante Crosstail]

Eldia stared up to the sky through the window of her bedroom, the moon shining on her shiny black fur and making his amber eyes appear to glow in the dark of the night. Her long slender tail slowly moved from side to side as she watched the stars above, and then she looked at the clock.

3:25 PM

It was like this everyday. Dark sky at night, and an even darker sky during the day. Ever since the Dark Tribe rose to power, not a single ray of sunlight has blessed this Earth. And if that wasn't the worst part, the Dark Tribe had also flooded the streets with their minions. You couldn't even go out to get the morning paper without getting mauled by their hounds.

Life had always been like this for Eldia. She was born during the reign of the vampiric overlords, and couldn't imagine the world any other way. She shut the blinds.

Just another gloomy day in Accuna, this small city on the Frontier.

Rio approached the sign that stated "Accuna." Around the plain wood, blood was splattered on the sign. He looked ahead to see that the place looked extremely empty. Rio noticed something strange in the sky. "Night? But how?" He asked himself, whispering. He was wearing a black cloak, covering his hole body of six feet one inch, the hood was over his head. His blue eyes and sand brown furred muzzle was the only visible parts of his body.

Rio took another step in the city, chills developed down his spine. Rio felt as if he were being watched by dark creatures. His breathing was extremely light. His eyes were looking for any sign of movement, Rio was listening for anything suspicious. He was walking as quiet as he possibly could, ensuring that his footsteps were not bothering him as he tried to listen.

A huge clattering sound was heard from behind him. Rio turned around, and spotted a fourlegged canine barley came into view. He could not quite make anything of it, accept that it was growling at him, and its teeth were extremely dirty. Rio stared at the hound, his eyes went from a dark blue, to a golden yellow the color of the sun.  He lightly hissed, but the hound progressed up to him slowly. "Its hostile." Rio suddenly felt like he was being surrounded by all sorts of obscurities around the dark city.

Eldia heard the sound of the hound growling at Rio, and ran to the window, franticallymsearching for the other anthro. Upon spotting him, she opened the window and shouted, "Hit it on its head! It's the only way to take it down!"

She noticed another henchman,this none a chain-mace wielding blue scaly wearing heavy armor. "Watch out! I'm coming down to help!" She called before grabbing the gun beside her bed, opening her window, and jumping down to the streets below.

[Ninjalion]

"Hit it on its head! Its the only way to take it down." Came a voice from nearby. Rio charged the Hound at a decent speed, the hound jumped at Rio immediately. Rio jumped and rolled to the right. "Heeeyah." He grunted, rolling back to his feet. His hood went down, revealing his pointy ears, and half grown brown mane. The hound landed to were Rio's initial position was located. Rio quickly rushed the hound as it turned to face Rio, he jumped in the air, aiming his knee to the hound's head. Planting his knee between its eyes. He noticed a dark creature dressed in a heavy scaled armor approaching Rio, Chained mace flying overhead. Rio grabbed the damaged hound by the nuzzle, quickly repositioning his hands to were he had a one gripped on the nuzzle. The other was on the soft spot on the back of the head. In one fluant motion, Rio drove the head farther than it should go breaking its neck. Rio shivered as he felt the bone snap.

The chain mace advanced towards Rio's direction, he bent his left knee and straightened his right, lowering his form to a low stance. Dropping the corpse on the ground. The mace flew over his head by a couple of feet. He corked his hand back, then quickly threw a straight, throwing his weight into the punch. He drove the minion back a couple of steps. And interrupting the the swing of the mace. The blow seemed to be absorbed as it begun to spin the chain overhead once again. He noticed the lady had jumped down the streets, armed with a projectile. Rio backed up a couple of steps, watching It's body movement, it advanced. Rio jumped back, staying out of range.

Eldia held the gun up, aiming for the lizard. "Nyaaaaa!" She shouted as she pulled the trigger, sending a blast of bright light from the barrel that sent the minion flying back into a wall.

"Wooo!" She fired another shot at the monster, destroying it as it let out a guttural roar of pain. She walked over to where it used to be, which now only had an empty suit of armor with the mace beside it. She picked up the armor, brushing a bit of blood off it. "This'll keep those Hound from biting me just fine.." She said before slinging the mace over her shoulder.

[Ninjalion]

Rio squinted his eyes as he saw the creature get gunned down by the female.  He noticed that the light of the gun was the only bright light he had seen for a about a half an hour. His eyes turned blue again, and he looked at the corpses from the battle. He looked around the area, hearing some sounds of hissing. Rio looked at Eldia. "Lets get out of danger, shall we?"

"Good idea." She nodded before turning back toward her house. She pushed her green goggles so they weren't dangling akwardly on her face and said, "My room's too high up for the Lizard Guards, and any other monsters are too stupid to open the door."

[Ninjalion]

He heard deep breaths come from multiple directions at once. He frowned his eyes, and tensed up. "Lets get going then." He looked at Eldia.

Eldia started off for her home, hearing the deep breaths. "Sounds like more monsters.." Shensaid as she kept a hand on her gun in case she needed to use it again.

She opened the door to her home, and headed in. "Make yourself at home." She said.

[Ninjalion]

Rio followed Elida in the home, he begun to look around. He took his cloak off, revealing that he was in black leather armor, the leggings of the same material. His build showed that he was in shape, and somewhat worked out. He had a straight sword sheathed in black wood at his left hip. He also had a lighter shade of black pouch in the front part of his right hip. a few small hilts that indicated that it could be  to a sharp object could be seen.

He hung the cloak up, and sat down on some nearby chairs. He looked up and asked. "Whats happening here?"

"The ParaSOL is happening." She said before pointing at the night sky. "The ParaSOL is a climate-control satellite placed by the Dark Tribe to rid the world of the sun so they may roam about and pillage as they please." She explained.

"The Dark Tribe are a group of five Vampires that a few years ago waged war on this world. They lost horribly, but they sought revenge by placing the ParaSOL in orbit and creating armor called Casket Armor that guarded them from solar rays even if the ParaSOL were to be sabotaged. It takes solar energy in its purest form to destroy Casket Armor, and since it's been night-time for quite a while, I don't think solar energy will be easy to get. Blessed with an eternal night, the Dark Tribe took over and spread their darkness across the globe, starting here with Accuna before moving on to bigger cities like Culiacan, the capital city off to the east."

She then lifted up her gun. "I've been out here ever since, taking down their monstrous lackeys with my Solar Gun." She said, looking at the glowing yellow lines running from the grip to the barrel and the glowing energy inside it. "It fires energy that mimics sunlight, burning away any of the Vampire's minions with ease." She pulled her goggles down over her eyes. "I got this gun and these goggles from my uncle Kay's friend Ernest, who fought in the war against the Dark Tribe and their beasts. It's name is Knight, he said. He told me it used to be my father's, who died in a fight with the leader of the Dark Tribe."

[Ninjalion]

Rio was sitting on the chair with a hand on his chin, His eyes gradually turned yellow. "ParaSol..." He looked at the window, and squinted his eyes a bit.  After Eldia was finished with her explination, Rio said nothing for a moment."Its gotta be taken down, Or we gotta take them out." He finally said.

"My thoughts exactly." She said before opening up a drawer and pulling out a map. "Okay, in a mansion about 3 hours from here is the Hunting Mansion, where Dark Tribe member Rymer Margrave resides. If we're gonna kill these things, we should start with him."
