homies or family

Tell me is your family more important than your homies(friends). Yes, your family is blood but if you had a problem wouldn't you tell your homies first. Come on for some people the only reason you "love" your family is because they are blood. Think about this if your family was not blood(related) to you would you love them and be honest, but your homies you picked them they are the people you want to be around not the people you are have to be with. Now don't get me wrong on this one I do love my family but I would much rather spend time with my homies and if I had a problem I would go to them firsts. But the you want to know the sad thing about friends is you will never be as close and as happy with anyone like you were with the friends you had when you were a teenager.
So,who is more important and why. No angry or mean posts please.

I prefer my friends a lot, the ones I know online. And good point when you said you pick them yourself so you can be sure you like to be near them.

That aside, I have family that I like and family I don't like. Some of my family are my friends. That again, other parts of my family I can't stand and I avoid. Do I love my family? Yes, most of them. Do I love them because I feel like I have to? No, I genuinely get along with them.

I'm very close to my family and they are just as important to me as my friends. I have a couple of friends I would consider extended family aswell.
