Anyone in here a sing?
« on: January 26, 2012, 05:41:39 AM »
I'm going to be on the radio in a couple of weeks & I cant sing well. My band (down to me & guitarist) is playing on a punk radio show & I'm the better singer (not good at all).

Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to get better at singing?

I dont need to be great but I would like to be decent since people at a music college will be listening & its my chance to get a scholarship.

the scholarship will be for my instrument not vocals but I dont want to risk my vocals bein so horrible they ignore me.

Anything & everything helps thank you

Well I dont know exactly what you want to sound like but the best advice is to practice (if that doesnt seem obvious xD)

You may also want to try drinking a LOT of icewater. Helps. Not just that day but drink a few glasses of truly frigid water a day until then. Then stop that day o.o Swallow immediately, dont let it stay n your mouth long.

Get a good idea of what you want to sound like... Yeah that's about all I've got. Now I'm not exactly a perfessional vocalist but I'm not terrible. I hope my advice has helped... In some way o.o

Life is an adventure! Sure, you'll probably spend most of it weeping uncontrollably, and on fire, but hey!

If you make a mistake or hit a wrong note DO NOT stumble, retry or say "sorry" or something like that :P just ignore it and get back on track haha
