Dungeons & Dragons advice needed!
« on: March 10, 2012, 05:38:11 PM »
I wasn't for sure where to put this so I just put it here since I'm asking for advice-ish material.

I'm picking up D&D again, since I never knew there were furry specific books I quit. I was wondering which book should I start with, I only have enough money for 1 or 2.

Wikifur said theres 5 furry D&D books (Ironclaw, Jadeclaw, Furry pirates, Furry outlaws & a char building book). I dont remember much about the tabletop version so I figured I'd ask here.

I'm goin to get the books today so an immediate answer is highly needed.

Thank You!

my knowledge of D&D is sadly to the extent of to what the name stands for.
have you tried googling it? someone is bound to have had the same kind of problem as you at some point.

The internet would probably help you more than any one book.  Just be careful where you take your info from, and take advice with a grain of salt.  I've heard good things about Ironclaw, though, from a friend who has brought the 2nd edition book to a few furmeets (not sure if he's actually played with a group).

In the weeks building up to Anthrocon, someone on the AC forum inevitably asks if anyone would be interested in furry D&D, and provides links to information on building characters (such as species-based stat bonuses and skills).
