Just gonna post here a few improvised recipes I came up with and ended up using regularly because they were a hit.
Starting simple...
Sherry Mayan-style hot cacaoGrab a standard size coffee mug and chuck in:
- 2 teaspoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- A pinch of cayenne pepper powder
Half-fill the mug with freshly boiled water
Add about a teaspoon of cinnamon syrup (alternatively, add a small pinch of cinnamon to the dry ingredients before adding the water)
Add two tablespoons of old brown (sweet) sherry
Top up mug with milk
Enjoy a decadent treat!
