Any furs into politics?
« on: February 05, 2013, 09:21:07 PM »
Haven't quite met a furry that's all too interested in government politics like I am. I know there are a ton of people who HATE that sort of stuff because its depressing and/or boring. Alas, I am a very politically active furry and was wondering if anyone else here was.

I'm an American but that doesn't mean I'm limited to American politics. Try me!

I like to think myself well connected with current events with our government (USA) But I tend not to talk about it as it causes some heated discussions... So ya, I am into Politics.

I guess you could say I'm interested. I'm interested in the dynamics of politics and the implications that political decisions have for our world, but I could never get involved in them myself.

I kind of was involved in clan politics, so politics between gaming clans rather than actual government. Never-the-less the experienced gave me perspective on politics and why everything is so vague. In politics you have to be incredibly careful, knowing that any word you say can be quoted 60 years later, you can't do anything that can be taken out of context and so on. Because of that effect everything is so wishy washy and vague and hard to understand.

Hmm I do keep up to date with politics so I would say I'm politically active. I do find political discussions to be rather engaging although I tend not to be good at debates x3 mostly because they seem to get so heated when politics become involved @.@ . However I do enjoy listening to others views on various subjects it helps to improve my own understanding regardless of whether I agree with them or not.  ^_^

You hit the nail on the head pretty well. I'm not to shabby at the debating part either, but I do have a pretty big liberal/progressive bias to base my assertions on. Knowledge is power!

Everyone has their bias of course nothing wrong with that as long as you moderate yourself from getting too frothing x3. That is just a generally good policy  :P . I myself would probably be labeled as pretty liberal on most issues as well if I had to be labeled :3 .
