Has anyone ever rooted for the 'villains' before?

I always root for who is correct. usually the hero is trying to save people, but the villin just is so logical o.o

Most of the time, I'll root for the hero in things, unless the villain is really, really memorable.

Here, lemme give an example. Hazama/Yuki Terumi from BlazBlue. I actually want the bad guys to win if they're being led by this guy. The best thing you can call him is a troll. How much of a friendly weiner the guy is is just awesome. xD He never misses a chance to mess wih you, either.
I may know a few other villaiins who I've rooted for, but he came straight to mind xD

Some villains are meant to be heroes (like Megamind). Others are too darn goofy to not like (like Madara from the Naruto series).

Haha yes yes i do. I always root for the bad guy because i identify with them the most. They are usually evil for a reason and were treated badly/ridiculed just like me. I know how it is to be there and understand why they do what they do. Is it bad in murder trials i always root for the guy being prosecuted? It's because i feel like it could happen to me and i'd be innocent.

I can't think of any cases where I actively rooted for the villain, but I can think of times when the villain of the story actually had understandable motivations, and I could actually sympathize with where they were coming from, if not the methods they were using to achieve their ends.

The only time I ever really rooted for the villain was in Dr. horrible's Sing Along Blog cause Dr. horrible is a villain o3o

Even though, I knew I was gonna end up killing him in the end,I kinda rooted for Handsome Jack. He was a fun and entertaining villain. In Fallout, I tend to be the bad guy usually....and side with bad people. Thoug hI usually only do that once I've completed the game with good karma.

Like in Star Wars, I always kinda root for Darth Vader.

I like the bad guys in some cases. I know ive been in the situation where id have wanted the bad person to win.

I definitely do.
They seem to have much more interesting stories and personalities then the heros typically.
Also, usually the best theme songs :'D

I can root for some villains but never truly side with them, like Joker.
 I could never understand some villains though, but I would adore their apparel.


I guess I would root for Madame Hydra or Morrigan Aensland (But Morrigan is a ''good'' girl)


Like what Sytex has mentioned about Venom, I feel the same, although I ALWAYS Root for Venom, I Just love how awesome he looks.

I'm typically an always root for the heroes type, but watching Iron Skies I inevitably find myself rooting for the moon Nazis because of their sheer awesomeness.

I dislike everything Nazis stand for, but... Nazis, living on the moon, with giant space zeppelins and flying saucers that run on gears and vacuum tubes and giant chain drives. That's a kind of villain too epic not to like a little.
