So I have run into a brick wall lately with my songwriting, no matter what I jot down a few lines then delete the whole thing cause it never turns out okay. If anyone has any help on how to write better then it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Keep your  songs and if you think it is stupid, come back to it after a bit and go with it.
Also, dance to your songs that are not done and words fit.
This helps for me.

Hope This Helps!

Definitely keep all your songs. They could eventually come together as one song or one could give you and idea for another!

When I was in high school, my band and I had this game where sometimes we'd label a deck of cards with guitar notes and we'd shuffle the deck before pulling out 5 cards in a random order. We'd play the riff as it was pulled and make up drums and bass lines following after if it sounded good.

Sometimes they sounded pretty good and other times not so much. You could try that, it's pretty fun :P
