Cinder's ears twitch and her head shot to attention, scanning the mist warily as she tried to silently crouch behind the fallen tree she had been previously perched on. The sound of crunching leaves and snapping twigs grew closer, accompanied by loud, angry voices. She saw the soloists of one figure veguely through the haze and ducked down the rest of the way, wedding herself within the crevas created as the round log met the ground. The sounds grew in volume as they neared and she held ber breath, not daring to move a muscle as she deduced that the interlopers were just on the other side of her hiding spot.
As they left, she rose, slowly peaking over the top of the tree before straightening and shaking the dead leaves from her fur. 'Weird, usuolly no one comes around here. Not only that but anyone in a group that large cant be up to anything good.' She though to herself curiously as she checked the moist ground for anything they may have dropped. She sniffed the air, picking up their scent and confirming its location on several trees nearby before she felt she had a firm grasp on where they were going. Then, resolutely, she turned on her paw-padded heel and made off in the direction they had come.
