Like the title says, I'm Sly and I am very pleased to be able to find a community that loves animals as much as I do.  I'm hoping to make many friends here.  While I figure out this site and how it's run, thought I'd introduce myself and start with the socializing.

Yeah, I figured it was silent because of the time and it being in the middle of the week.  School and work and all that jazz.  Didn't expect a lot or responses tonight so the two that I see now are a pleasant surprise.  (Two since I clicked the reply button anyway.  )


As to your question Snow Kitties, yes and no.  No in that I pretty much knew a very long time that I was a furry.  Yes in that this is the first time I've actually been semi-open about it.

Ah. I didn't know about the furry fandom until a year ago, but I ha e always been one now that I look back. Like, always. Since I was a child.

When I was a kid I used to always pretend to be a fox.    I don't know, maybe it was the bushy tail?  So I didn't choose fox lightly and due to popularity.  I chose it because of history.  Like you, I think I was a furry long before I even knew there was a classification for it.

I've looked around quite a bit but there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity here.  Is it just my timing?


Other than this one, I have been reluctant to create a thread too.  I know you shouldn't make one if one already exists and I'm still just navigating this place.  But it's a little awkward.  I'm not quite sure how to join in anywhere.  ^^;;

Just your timing, I think? It's only a little bit slower than the bigger forums I've used except at times.

I know how to join in places I just don't want to affect some places with my somewhat aloof presence so I tend to stick to Fun RP and Random. To be honest, I only use TFF when half busy using my iPod (Tapatalk). I think forums are an acquired taste but before you know it, you're hooked.

Most people spend their times in the role plays or the forum games. That's the thing I noticed about this forum right away. Unlike other forums it seems to be lacking in useful and informative jnfortmation. - it's there, but there isn't bushels of it. Instead it's actually a community for meeting people and hanging out.

I used to do forums all the time.  I found out about furries and roleplaying on Gaiaonline.  I guess I'm still more used to the pace of that site.  But I can see both of your points.  I tend to be more aloof myself.  Also really socially awkward.   


But I like nice conversations too.  Not just RP and games.  But I don't seem to be able to find any of that here.  What forum category should I look into for that?

Sometimes conversations start up In the repetitive counting games. Otherwise search your topic and if you don't see it, make a new thread.

Hey, welcome to the forums!   


As for how quiet it is... yeah, the forum used to have more people active (back in the day, man I sound so old saying that  ) depends when you're on and what you're interested in I guess.


I mostly keep to the RP section these days and drop by when I have some spare time, so I know how you feel with not knowing how to best join in with what's going on... Hopefully you'll find a good time here though, there's always some good people around. Feel free to message me if you want some conversation, I can always find time to chat
