Thank you, Hiren! I agree. It's a subject that deserves far more attention than most writers are willing to give it. Many have written about the animal human connection as either a spiritual connection between two separate creatures (such as a wolf guiding a human) or as the human being an embodiment of a beast (werewolf).
Lahkians are, essentially, "both human and animal at the same time". They can walk on two or four legs, enjoy a diet consisting mostly of meat, cherish the mate-bond, protect their young, live in villages, and howl.
I am sure there are other books like this, but I haven't dug around enough to discover them. I've had a passion and drive to create this book for years. Whether or not you choose to buy it, thank you for commenting on the post.
