I've been there.
Hh, I think i'm still hanging on to some because it's been so recent.
But the best thing to do, even though you don't like it-- you've got that bad taste in your mouth because of it, is to just don't stop talking to the people you know. The people you care about. Don't distance yourself from them. Do the opposite. Just keep talking with them, and maybe get in contact with people you have not talked with in a while.
And do what feels right-- Even though it might all feel incredibly not good.
Counseling helps, but people who care and talk to/with you are priceless in this situation.
