Also! One last question.
So its agreed apon that the challenges collectivly add up to eventually leading to the treasure room (the difficulty rolled for each challenge is added up until it reaches 100 +)
I realize a bit of a flaw with that set up, in that it means that each player is allowed only one pose per challenge to determine if they pass or fail :p
So how about I add a rule to fix that problem:
When the challenge is chosen and the difficulty has been rolled, players have to meet or beat the roll each turn until the challenge is over. Like the over all progression meeter the challenge could have its own progression meeter, where each roll the player makes adds up to complete it, even if they fail the roll.
Since this undoubtedly makes the game harder I can give each player 5 saving throws instead of three.
An example of a challenge and rolling:
GM rolls from a pre made list what the challenge will be.
GM rolls difficulty: GM rolls a 12. The challenge will be complete when the heroes roll a collective 36 points (number chosen at random cor the sake of an example.)
Player 1 rolls 10, loses 1 saving roll.
Player 2 rolls 15
Player 3 rolls 15
The collective number has exeded 36. The monsters are slain, the traps are passed etc etc.
Players then continue to the next challenge.
The next challenge dicficulty rolls a 14. The progression meter to the treasure room is at 26.
If this is too complicated please let me know
Im easy going and want everyone to have fun with this
