Should I get a collar?

So recently I've started getting into collars more and more and I'm thinking about getting one. My fursona wears a black nylon collar so I'd probably get one like that. My two best friends both know I'm a furry and are ok with it as is my mom. However knowing my friends they'd think I was weird if I got one. (They probably already think I'm weird though lol) My mom and other family members I can almost guarantee they would not like me with a collar. I'm almost 15 and I can't drive yet so if I went to go get one I'd need to get a ride to a pet store or something so yeah. Anyone have any advice on the matter?

I got mine at the age of 15, I say got I mean borrowed the spare for my dog, and later bought one after walking to the nearest pet shop.

In all honesty? I'd say that if you do get one, because no one can stop you if you have the money to buy one, then to only wear it in your room. Also, make sure you have an explanation planned before you buy one. If you don't? Expect yourself to have an awkward conversation with your parents.

Yeah that would be awkward. Thanks for the advice. Also do you sleep with yours on? I've seen people talking about sleeping with their collars on so just thought I'd ask.

I do, yes. Though if my mum asks me to come downstairs I either take it off or wrap it around my wrist.
