ah, thank you! 
I've been doing music production and composition for 8 years now. I've only recently started to find my standard satisfactory, though. I had a Soundcloud with my older stuff on it, but they haven't aged very well, so I got rid of it.

Yay!  Well, good for you.  Music is my biggest joy.  I'm interested how you write.  Do you think in terms of melody or chords or what?


Personally I tend to work out the chord sequence first then write the melody and change the chords if the melody grows in a different direction than I'd planned.


Just curious because everyone seems to do it differently!

Well, my creative process can vary on track to track. Sometimes I have a melody in mind, or just chords, bassline etc. I usually have one or two musical ideas and hopefully when I put them down I can think of something from that and develop it.
I haven't really got a system or anything, I just go with the flow and sometimes I get cut short and I leave the track for another day (sometimes for a day that never comes) and sometimes I can get the track finished in a day.
