This feels awkward
« on: December 15, 2016, 03:30:40 AM »
Hi! It feels so awkward talking to furries since I'm kinda a furry, but not a furry furry. I mainly enjoy art and animation with furries in it, as an artist how can't I find the idea of (almost) limitless OC possibilities appealing? However I find furry porn as cringey as the next guy and I find the idea of spending a thousands dollars on a fursuit dumb, which is why I've been so hesitant to involve myself with this community despite still giving in and drawing furries sometimes. BUT since I often find myself thinking depressing things when I have no one to message the idea of being a part of a (seemingly) tightly-knit group sounds appealing.

So... here I am, in the dragons' nest. Equipped with decent art skills ready to ask the hardest of questions...
How do I decide what my fursona should be? :o
(Since unlike OCs, this is something that should represent me, but I don't even understand me half the time so really I'm up for anything)

Hiya SugarBiscuit!

Glad you stopped by for a look see :D

Don't worry, furries come in lots of different flavours and you can be a furry furry or just fur-curious(?), it's all good.  As for myself, I like furry art but don't fill my life with it, I like the creative potential of RPing (furry or not) and I'm not interested in fursuiting, but I have seen some I think are adorable!

So if you're not furry enough then neither am I ;)

Also, this site is PG13 so no threat of porn cringe.

As for how to decide on your fursona, that's hard.  It seems different for everyone, but don't be afraid to try something and change if it doesn't "fit".  Two good places to start though are either an animal that you just really like or think of a major personality trait you have and think about what sort of creature typifies it (wise owl etc).

Anyway, have a look around, if you have any questions just ask here or shoot me a PM.

Have fun!
