Rocco's Riddles

Recently I have become quite the fan of riddles and brainteasers (some people in the barracks are calling me the Riddler) Thought I'd post em here. I will post at least one a week here. If someone thinks of the answer, I'll let em know they got it right and post the next riddle/brainteaser. If no one gets it, than after one week I will post the answer and a new one


Riddle me this.
What can be sold, but never bought? Everyone has it, but no one knows how much. To be extended, it must first be shortened.
