i don't really tell any of my friends about it. one of my "friends" hates furries. i'm not really friends with him but he's in my friend group, so i just never mentioned it. and one of my (used to be) friends went through my computer to see if i had anything embarrassing on it. and that's how he found out. he's the only one that fully knows. my other friends seem to be ok with it though.

Well, I myself am a bit quiet about that. OK, sometimes I do mention it but all of my friends are kinda 'meh' to it. Lucky I guess...  :)

Only my closest friends know that I'm a furry. One of them is a furry too, but the other two aren't. All three of them are super chill about it, and it doesn't really come up in conversation with the non-furry two.

I'm lucky to have friends like them.  :)

Most of the people I talk to, online or in real life, don't have much of an opinion about it. The only exception would be my brother, who's a bit disconcerted by it. I live in a rural town in Mississippi. Most of the people I know haven't even heard of it. I showed some pictures of a furry party to members of my Sunday school group, and they all asked, "Where's your costume?" So... no hatedom around here. At worst, a bit weirded out.

My girlfriend thinks it's pretty cute/cool actually, never really told anyone who wasn't already a furry.

high school friends were all fine with it. they all dug the furry doodles i drew in the margins of my notes, lmao
haven't broached it with the rest of my dorm yet. that being said, ive drawn and shown off a bunch of vaguely furry artwork with no pushback, so we'll see how it goes

None of my friends really asked yet, but I told a friend I was a Scalie, and he kept on calling me a Scalene Triangle. >_< It was funny, but annoying at the same time. I kneed him in the balls.

Well there's a lot of variables when it comes to friends, but one of the best aspects of friendship is the acceptance it brings. Good friends could care less how weird your hobbies are, thats what makes them good friends. As for me, I brought up being a furry pretty early on, but once I did they didn't really care all that much. In fact we still have a good laugh from time to time when furry stuff comes up when playing dungeons and dragons (I made a wish for pandas once, and through some complex chain of events accidentally created a strong race of magical humanoid pandas that almost killed us all XD) . To be fair though a fair share of my friends graduated from an art college, so furry things are not that foreign to them.
