So, I'd like to do an interest check for an RP idea I've been thinking about. If enough people respond and seem interested, I'll develop it some more and make an official sign-up post for it.
Basically, this would be a totalitarian dystopia in which the governing body maintains complete control over its citizens through the use of highly advanced technology. Natural birth is outlawed and all citizens are genetically designed and created in government laboratories to fit specific roles in society. The capital city (where the players would start out) is covered with heavy surveillance, and even private residences are monitored. The government also uses security drones to sweep the streets and enforce a strict curfew on the citizenry. Any kind of dissident writing, art, etc is outlawed, and viewing banned material is considered a treasonous act punishable by death. All-around, it's a pretty bad situation for anyone who's not a part of the government's highest elites.
I'd want to play the villainous totalitarian leader of this country (and control all his soldiers
). The players would be members of this society who band together and try to form a resistance group and rebel against the oppressive state. They could start out as regular people or already be a part of a growing underground rebellion.
Also, cybernetic enhancements and laser weaponry would be part of this future because I think they're cool. Let me know if you think this sounds interesting, and if you have any suggestions.
