So I'm at Walgreen's browsing through the books section, and I find the one book that doesn't involve something paranormal or isn't meant for women (there are books with pictures of half-naked men on the cover that are meant for women... i think? :p)

Absolute Fear is a pretty good book so far... I've only read up to chapter six (which pisses me off since I know I can read a lot more faster, but I can't find the time). So now I ask you guys this: Have you read the book? If so, is it as good as it is now in the end? Does it get worse after chapter seven? Better? If not, what books would you recommend for me?

hmm...never heard of it. Who's it by? I'd recommend some Stphen King and Dean Koontz. Thoguh they're more supernatural. James Patterson is a good crime writer. So is Tami Hoag.

It's by Lisa Jackson. I've read some Stephen King before, didn't really like his books as much as I thought I would.  James Patterson, never heard of him. I do love a good crime book though, lol. I'll look him up some time, when I find the time >.> Tami Hoag as well :3

They're all great but Stephen King's a little bit of a 'got to be in the mood for it' author. Whereas Tami is a 'rock your socks, close all the windows and turn on all the lights' kind. So is James.

Tami is a crime writer focused on woman, although I should warn you that she's got a few sex scenes in her books but they don't go into very much detail. James does too. Mary is a 'tug at the heart/emotions' type.
