OKIDOKI :bubbles:
The picnic this past Sunday went great. I know a lot of people weren't able to come due to work or gas prices (somebody SO needs to invent a Star-Trek-like transporter, I'd so buy one to help move people around). I mean, it's $4 a gallon here. That's ridiculous. Anyhoo, we did confirm the dates for our Halloween meet.
October 31 thru November 2, 2008 - Friday thru Sunday
The Hattiesburg Saenger Theatre is hosting this year's Rocky Horror Picture Show event and A LOT of people from the South MS area, furries and humans alike, are going. It's just $10 for a ticket.
Here's the link for the Saenger Theatre:

RHPS TicketsThe show starts at 8 PM, but we're probably gonna get there between 6:30 and 7:00 PM to get good seats. We probably won't be able to sit all together because it was packed last year. There's always cool people attending and the costumes are AWESOME. I will contact the theatre and the organization hosting the RHPS to make sure that fursuiters will be allowed. Personally, I don't think that fursuits will be a problem at all. After all, it's Halloween and it's a RHPS event: a time for everyone to let their hair down. Some people were worried about full costumes covering up the attendee, but Death Eaters (followers of Voldemort) from the Harry Potter fandom were allowed so I seriously doubt that fursuiters will be frowned upon.
After the RHPS event, we intend on coming back to the Richburg Community Center, the same center we used for our meet this past January (because it's free). Details about sleeping arrangements, food needs, and further event itineraries will be posted later. We will run all day Saturday and have a "Dead Dog" clean-up party Sunday morning for any stragglers (we like stragglers!) Any questions, comments, complaints or suggestions, feel free to IM Kuron (Jarekojosh) at any time.
At this time, we don't look to charge any admission or require any donations. But we'll keep you posted on our "labor of love." lol
Until next time,
Kuron M.
