Need a little help switching styles...
« on: February 24, 2010, 09:19:17 PM »
I come from Gaia online's style of RP's, learning its literacy and such... but from what I've read, that holds no weight here...
Im also having trouble converting that form over to an acceptable one here (Could be im brain dead... want spring break... XP) so...
Could i have a possible comparison on how to change that up?

what's the Gaia style?
"Parents always think kids are wasting their youth, and always have done [so] down through the millennia," says Tom Forsyth of RAD Game Tools. "'That Ug, always holding things. His front paws will develop in funny ways. Why can't he walk on all fours like normal proto-hominids?' And so, whatever the kids spend the most time doing, that's always what parents think is a waste of time, and what is corrupting their lives. It doesn't matter what that is. If all they did was homework, parents would be worrying that their kids aren't becoming well-rounded people. And, in fact, parents do this - enrolling math nerds in karate classes and the like. There is no way to win - parental paranoia ensures that kids are always doing the wrong thing."

The style i used on gaia went something a little like this...

Shadow of the trees:Sartana Forestshadow (Uninjured/Ninpo: x3)
The ninja stalks this post, ever so quiet. "..."

Usually a paragraph a post, the posts are literate and they're forced to look pretty. guess the /size doesnt work so, manual switch on that one.

well the RPs here arent' too different. There's no size limit unless stated in the OOC

different colours can be used to denote different people or places but it doesnt have to  be pretty. the rules are pretty lax unless stated in the ooc really.

what they said.

that "Gaia Style" is not that much different, though i will say I have yet to see someone resize their text. for casual rps, you'll find people use asteriks (*) to quote their actions, and some people use italics for thoughts. instead of resizing, we tend to use colours. (command: )

well, if it's any help, i put together a couple RP trainers for Myu in Training Grounds, you can go ahead and check those out, if you want. I believe she started one first, where i started an intro. hope it helps.
