Philadelphia Police are searching for the person responsible for duct taping a cat from its head to its paws and dumping the feline in a yard.

Officers from the Pennsylvania SPCA's Humane Law Enforcement team rescued the cat Tuesday from a yard in the 2200 block of Edgley Street.

Medical staff at the Pennsylvania SPCA were able to successfully remove the duct tape and the cat, nicknamed by staff as "Sticky," is reportedly doing well.

According to investigators, the female cat was duct taped from head to toe and was left abandoned in the yard. The animal was so tightly wrapped in duct tape that she could not walk.

The Pennsylvania SPCA is offering a $1000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to a conviction of the person or persons responsible.

"I've been doing this for a lot of years and I have to say that this is the worst case," George Bengal of the PSPCA told CBS affiliate KYW Philadelphia. "I've seen animal's feet duct-taped and their mouths duct-taped, but never a body suit like this."

Currently there are many reports about cat bondage existing but this is only the worst example... It seems already like it is a new trend because it isn't rare anymore.

Unfortunately, people do this because they're mentally sick and they feel good doing it. Whether it's from a feeling of control, or just a sick need to torture other creatures, people can be very depraved in what they do.

Also unfortunately, this isn't the worse that people do. Not too long ago, there was a person going around skinning cats and another guy who was beheading them. These things have never been rare, and have been occurring for a long time.

It only goes to show how careful and depraved people can be, and not only that, but also how much other people don't actually care. They might act disgusted, but in the end, they're not disgusted enough to do anything about it. Understandably, when something like that happens to people, there is more of an public outrage and fear, but when it happens to animals, only those who truly care about the animals will do something about it.

Let's just hope that whoever is doing those things is caught quickly

What a stupid and pointless way to waste time. Not only do I like cats, but this simply violates several rules of comedy. As I'm sure many know a prank is never funny if you don't see how people react. Sure, you can imagine it, but never quite as satisfying as actually seeing it.

Duct taping a cat and just leaving it is just a waste of time, either it will be found and promptly rescued (Hearing about it in the news does not constitute humor) or it dies, which either means you wasted a bunch of money on a cat or you killed somebody's cat and when they find the body you'll be in even more trouble.

You people would hate to live where I do; it's not uncommon for people to throw out live cats in trash bags out on the side of the highway. As sad as it is, most are dead when they are found. They also do the same with small dogs.

in slovakia ive actually never heard of this heppening.. both the  cat and the dog are working animals... the cat keeps down the rats that get into the barns and the dogs guard your land.... i know very few people who have animals just as pets...

Oh my...  :'(  That is not what I thought of this topic being about when I clicked on it I will admit. This is terrible. I realllllly hope they catch people who are doing this. I imagine they had a difficult time getting that tape off too.. the poor thing.

That is BULLCRAP!!!

I hate seeing animals abused like that. Instead of doing stupid crap like that, let someone adopt that cat. I'd rather do that than see him/her left that way.

my mate adopted a cat that was dumped in a river, it has a scar on its back from a firework.... when they got it, it was in terrible condition, but is now a very happy cat
