Cosplay advice? I'm not sure if this is the right place
« on: May 08, 2011, 08:12:29 PM »
I'm not sure if this falls in the line of furries, but I'm thinking of a cosplay idea for next year. I was thinking a half horse and half human warrior. The only issue I have is legs. Where can I find black fuzzy inverted legs to look like horse legs? I have an idea of what I can do but it's expensive. Boots from punitiveshoes.com have a horse hoove like boot but it's leather and about 260 USD. :( I've always wanted them but they're still too expensive. Anyone know of a site that sells something cheaper? I'm hoping for the legs and fur go up to my hips. Any ideas?

There are some really great tutorials and demos of how to make faun (fawn?) legs on youtube. It's basically the same thing you're looking for.

As for fur, I just bought some 1.5 inch pile black fur from fabric.com that was only $11 on sale. It looks like pretty good quailty.
