Hello from a newly found fur...

... or scaly, as I define myself mostly with Dragons.

Thanks to a friend, I've felt like I could call myself a furry, after having many conversations with him about the subject.  I still wonder how deep I can find myself in the culture, but for now, I realize I am a fur at heart.  Whether it's roleplaying, cartoons, or other enjoyments, I have always dabbled around the edges.  Now, after the discussions I've had, I want to learn more about being a fur.  ^_^

Hope to meet with more of you as time goes on.

Some of my interests include role playing and board games, martial arts (although I have not practiced in many years) and anime/manga.

My favorite color... really depends on my mood.  I've lean heavily to blues, but have favored black at many points in my life. ^_^

Tell me, what are some of your favorite anime series? I think my top three would be Mobile Suit Gundam (the movie trilogy compilation) , Yu Yu Hakusho, and Dragonball Z. Currently, the only manga I read is Inuyasha, and I'm not even halfway through it. Lack of funds equals inability to purchase further volumes.  :'(

im the one and only wolf / snow leopard hybrid here Kaprika, you'll also find me rather popular on here for my art. (you will find lots of furries on here running around with it)

this place is one of the best furry forums ive ever been to and you will find yourself RIGHT at home here, its a very tight knit family here.

I've got a bit of an anime and manga collection.  A couple of my favorites are Cowboy Bebop (great science fiction action series) and Slayers (High Fantasy comedy/Drama).  Recently I picked up Summer Wars, which is pretty interesting.  I've also watched a few episodes of Freezing and High School of the Dead on Hulu.  

I'm reading way too much manga, as I have 20+ series underway. That sounds ridiculous, but since they come out only a few times a year,   I can keep up with them easily enough.  Omamori Himari is my guilty pleasure right now (ecchi with cat girl demon and other fun spirits), but I'm following both print releases here int he US and online for some of the titles that will never make it here (like Bambino, a slice of life manga about the restaurant industry).  I would rather read manga at home in book form, but there are some that just will not make it over here any other way. ^_^

If you want to see the books I have read or am reading, as well as anime I have, just let me know and I'll post my MAL link.

I'm a newly found fur fan as well, so believe me, this forum is great, the people here are cool and nice, and I'm sure you'll discover a lot. Always good to know I'm not the only newbie.
