How do you show your furryness to the world?

I wore my collar, before it "mysteriously disapeared" but other than that, I either wont see them again, or if I will and it bohers them, well lets just say theres a much bigger problem there.

I only show it on the Internet where no one really knows me. I'm generally an Internet Fur only. Still wearry about telling anyone. I'l only tell them if they ask.

Plus, I have nothing to show it with!  :'(

I've worn a collar in public before, and I made a semi-furry t-shirt, but wasn't so happy with the result in the end.

I know what you mean about being nervous, KangaDrake - I usually don't wear anything furry.  My parents are really conservative too, my dad more than my mom.  Although they always encouraged my art, and both my brother and I are working on creative careers.   

It helps to be in a group - when I've had friends wearing collars and furry stuff, and I'm hanging out with them, I've thought 'hey, why not?  I'm with people doing it, so it makes little difference.'  I usually indulge in those times.  There was awhile while still living with my parents where I sort of led a double-life...at home, I was a good little Christian boy...at school, a bi-curious hyperactive furry kid.

I certainly met a lot of interesting people by hanging out with those not afraid to defy the norm.     And eventually it got me out living on my own, too.

Have to say, I wear my tail to school most of the time, and I'll talk about it with my friends and if someone brings it up. But otherwise I'm just and internet fur right now, hopefully that'll change this summer.

I agree with you about being nervous. I kinda don't like all of the attention I would get when wearing a collar and a bunch of people (probably my friends) ask me what the hell I am doing with that collar. But I'm working on getting it out there. I mean, if you are someone that doesn't care about what you look or what people say, strongly. Then you can do whatever you want. . Some of us are scared of what people think but we should really not care what they say.

Be who you want to be, not what others want you to be.

Do what you want to do, not what others want you to do.

I have social anxiety too...

All of my Real Life friends really know. I go to Scifi cons with my tail on and my hat with ears. I have a spiked collar and a lot of plush toys. x3 I'm open about it.

well the doormat to my house says wipe your paws imstead of feet,my mailbox has an iron dog on the top of it,and both the kitchen and bathroom are dog/cat themed is that enough? i could give more examples

I tend to draw my Fursona a lot, and people also tend to ask why. I just say I'm a Furry and then it becomes known.

i wear my custom self made furshirt

it has my avitar on it..and it says my name, species, gender and on the back it has a pawprint and says "im a furry, pet me!" with a beneath it

i also wear my tail almost everywhere i go, its rare to see me without a tail.

well i print and collect fursona's and add them to my collection my parents just think its a hobby .....but even though this has distracted them ....my dads started to get paranoia and wants to know about who i chat to .......im worried how long i can stay secret (he just tried to check just now...i closed it fast)
