Well hello there everybody!

I am Kittenpillar, a somewhat camp british brony, and quite recently, furry.

To be honest, I knew little of the furry fandom (If that's what you folks call it round here) until quite recently, however I quite like animals, particularly birds and mammals, more specifically, flamingoes, goats, buffalo and chickens.

My fursona is a mountain goat called Aura (Which is the name of the greek titan of fresh breezes), he's obviously, quite good at scaling hills and mountains, however also has a love for birds, books and the sunset. He is just a little strange... Maybe more than a little.

I enjoy RP, and also drawing, just simple pencil sketches, I'm not really one for digital art, save for spriting, which I do for picture wars. I also love books, my favoites being the Eragon series, athough Embedded was quite a good read too. I have experience with pony RP's, and a somewhat sketchy knowledge on dungeons and dragons 3.5e.

I, like and watch the My Little Pony show, and also like a well written film as much as the next person, my favorites being Prometheus, Troll Hunter, and Headhunters. I mostly like alternate rock such as Muse, The National, and Diablo Swing Orchestra (Although I'm not fully sure what music they actually do.) I also like Regina Spektor and Penguin Cafe Orchestra, dubstep is a little odd to me though.

I'm here for a fun time, meeting some interwebs people of a different brand to homophobic, and somewhat unsophisticated haters and trolls, and to do RP.

Goats are cool, but their eyes creep me out, their irises are SIDEWAYS! Have you ever noticed that? :O I wonder why that is... 

I'd like to learn how to do GURPS, but I don't really understand the basics too much... I'm currently in the process of looking for a cool online community that can teach me about it. I don't RP much at all though, only with my bf, so you probably won't see me in the RP section here, sorry... x)

I watch MLP too, not full fledged brony but I do enjoy the show quite a bit, I watch it with my sister.

If you are looking for a forum and community without masses of trolls, haters and homophobes you've come to the right place. The moderators here are fantastic and very active in keeping the site friendly and engaging. Just look around in the corner and nooks and see what you find. 
Many members are very active (me included) so you wont have to wait days for a reply. I love birds myself! A couple of characters of mine are avians, exotic birds because I like vibrant colours    Goats are very cool too, especially the eyes, it makes them look so serious    I'm sure that they are cuddly under the surface!

Actually, mountain goats are super cuddly (Possibly the fluffiest animal I know of), of course, I agree that the're cuddly under the surface too, from what I've seen this place is super friendly! I was somewhat skeptical with furries to start actually, however I like to stay open minded, and try to avoid judging others. I'm somewhat confused why the furry fandom is put in such a negative light.

Picture wars, by the way, is a sort of turn based game people play, in which they each sprite a turn of their soldiers blowing others up. Its based around spritework and is pretty sarn fabulous if I do say so myself.

Well, the important thing to understand is that furries are not the best people you'll ever find, or the worst.. we're just people.. there will be those you argue with and there will be those that becomes your friends. As for the negative light you are talking about. It's a mix of the media only showing what they think is interesting to the main public (violence and sex) and that the fandom, honestly, in itself is a pretty wierd one and if someone doesn't have the mind to grasp it they will often respond with nasty assumptions.
