What is, "The Awakening"?
« on: May 08, 2013, 12:33:54 AM »
Well, I am aware of my spirit and animal instincts. I guess that that's called, being awake. But, what exactly is "The Awakening"? If it happened to me I cannot remember it, i really don't know. :/
Anyone who can teach me more about Theriantrophy would be greatly appreaciated  :)

Therianthropy/otherkin is not really for being taught, but understood. It is somewhat a loose set of beliefs that were labeled to better describe what would be considered as foreign sensations to others. The awakening is more of a realization that you have felt these strange sensations long enough to look into it and at some point have come across these terms through reading.

The best form of exploring these experiences further would be doing additional research, meditation techniques, keeping an updated journal to describe your feelings or even sometimes what you see (dreams, real life, out-of-body experiences).

I hope that helps in some way.

Well, last night I tried a meditation. Some words and things that stuck out were "Wolf" and "Raised with the she-wolfs" I'm going to try again tonight, I hope I find some answers.
