Far too many to count and post. I'll just give three things. A recent favorite, an old favorite, and a remix.
Recent favorite? Well, I just played Chrono Trigger for the first time... and it had LOTS of great music. But this one stood above them all for me. For the dramatic epic feel it gives off. It truly has a sense of urgency for the part of the game it is played during. The fact that it is played through battles helps phenomenally and even makes battles a joy to play through:
Chrono Trigger - Undersea PalaceOld favorite? Let's go forward in time to the PS2 and Final Fantasy X. The calming music of the watery caverns in the games, that could make me fall asleep even in my most anxious of moments. So twinkly, so relaxing:
Final Fantasy X Music - Calm Before the StormHere's the remix, of my favorite video game of all time, Final Fantasy IX. This remix perfectly encapsulates all of the important themes of Final Fantasy IX. Starting with the Battle theme, it makes its way through a frenetic rock beat that makes me able to imagine the epic journey of the heroes. Ending with the fan favorite and classic, You Are Not Alone. This reflects the near end of the journey, where things start to get serious, with a sad twangy reflective guitar. But the beat rises up to its former rock, indicating that in spite of their struggles, our heroes will keep going on:
moAbi - Final Fantasy IX MedleyAll very fantastic themes deserving of attention.
