Welcome everyone, to the Gate of Eternity OOC thread.If you have questions, want to know more on this RP, have suggestions, comments or anything of the sorts. Feel free to either post it in here for all to see and respond too. Or, if you prefer it more privately, PM me with your post if you do not wish for others to view it.

With that said, enjoy reading the following on how to participate and the rules of this RP. And above all, have fun!

Summary:

It is the year 416 of the age of Minra.

It is an age of prosperity and wealth. Of honest furries that make their livings in simple lives. But a life that none would ever wish to give up. For they live in the greatest of all the cities remaining. The crown jewel of the Balidur continent; Girda.

It is a place that furrs all around the world have heard off, its magnificent walls that reach high into the sky. Markets and bazaar areas that are filled with luxurious items from all around Aerden. And even the Demons and Angels in the texts of creation would envy such a glorious city. A city of wonders, where everyone could start afresh and anew.

But beneath the glory, the wonders, the shining golden roofs and silken clothing, truths are buried that should never see the light of day.

Races, Culture & Factions:

Races

Furries

Spoiler for Hidden:

The most common and largest of all the races. Furries are inventive, always seeking betterment for their lives. They possess free will and will seek out what they find is best for themselves. Be that good or bad.

Furrs will always try to make a living for themselves and show resilience even when they are at their lowest. They endure hardships and try to live their lives day to day.
They breed rather fast but have a weak constitution. Using technology to aid them in fights.

 
Vampires

Spoiler for Hidden:

Created by the union of demons and furrs. These creatures resemble furries appearance, but long for the life source: blood.

They live forever and are much stronger, faster and have better reflexes. They however shun the light, being burned by it. They are marked by hell red eyes.

Vampires are either furries turned vampire or in rare cases, full blood vampires. Those that have come to the world by a male vampire and a female furry.

Holy artifacts can harm them or stun these creatures. Whereas sunlight might kill younger vampires almost immediately, older ones can withstand some sunlight to an extent. Some have shown to use sunblock and other methods of keeping them protected during the day. But these have been rare cases.

Vampires try to stay hidden, not wishing their existence known. Mostly due that they would be hunted down, as well as to prevent competition from others. They reside in the darker areas of cities and are in many cases the cause of crime during the night.

 
Nephillim

Spoiler for Hidden:

The offspring of angels and furrs. Creatures that are seen by some as half angels. They age less fast then furries do, going at normal speed until their 20’s. From then on they grow old at a decreased rate.

They have black eyes, pure black, can sprout black feather wings from their back. And have increased strength and speed.
Like vampires, Nephillims try to stay hidden. Whilst they can walk during daytime, they tend to be shy of others and wish not to stay near others for too long, out of fear of being discovered.

Each Nephillim carries a mark somewhere on their body signaling to others which Sin their father belonged too. This mark they carry is seen as a curse and can cause them, in the case of anger for instance, to go frantic against people or outbursts of anger for no reason.

 
Fallen Demons and Fallen Angels

Those that stayed behind after the Heavens and Hell left, have become twisted versions of themselves. The gave rise of the Nephillims and Vampires.

It is said they are extinct, but some think this is not the case. And that they are still amongst the furries.

 
Furry Culture

Furrs have developed an extensive culture and a religion they call the Chantry. The Chantry tells about how Aerden was created via Heaven and Hell. But recently this thought has been replaced by science and technology.

Since the era of Mira, religion has taken a less big role in furry culture and society, being more seen as superstition from past era’s. Technology has evolved to the point where furrs can create airplanes, advanced weaponry, even the atom holds no secrets anymore. The only frontier left, is space.

Factions

Note: Factions at the start of the RP have only a certain type of people in them. As the story progresses, this can alter based on how people react and play the RP.

For example, the Zanial Resistance is at first pure Furry… But later on others, like Vampires, could join it.

The Zanial Resistance

A group of furries that believe the current government is corrupt and should be overthrown. They fight for their fellow furrs who are living in oppression. And will do anything to restore the democracy they so fervent believe in.

Their leader communicates their action and tries to keep the group togheter. Numbering in total less than a hundred strong, they have been able to do damage towards Ethan Mardus’s rule.

They will not stop until they achieved their goal, attacking key locations vital for the Supreme to stay in power.



The Azure Guard

The Azure Guard are the elite of the elite of Girda’s law enforcement. They can act outside of the police their jurisdiction and are called in to quell any sort of resistance with brutal force.

Some believe that it is the Azure Guard themselves that have put up some acts of terrorism, just to put the blame on the Zanials. Whether this is true is not known, as nobody dares to get in the way of the Guard.

They only answer to the Supreme, Ethan Mardus. And they also spread propaganda in order to keep the populace in ignorance of the true state of the city.


The Forgotten

Whilst not truly a faction, the forgotten are the outcasts, the criminals, vampires also reside amongst them.

These people are the lowest of the low and hid away in the darker regions of the city. Should anyone come across them, be advised to keep your belongings closely to you.

Technology:

This RP plays slightly into the future of our current society. As such all technology both civil, military and so forth is known.

Only space remains mostly unknown.

Girda is the most technological city of the remaining civilizations. They sport even new untested technology, basic lasers, mechanized forces, EMP technology and even rail gun equipment have been refined.

However, this high tech gear is only known to the Azure Guard and some elite groups. Rebel groups have been lucky to gather one or two of these weapons and reversed engineered it. But they are unable to use it on high-tech scale.

Girda is also known to have functioning nano factories, able to produce the armaments of the Supreme. However, the weakness that these factories have is power, requiring large amounts of energy.

A lot of energy is gotten from eco-friendly methods, but for the massive bulk of its energy supply Girda uses fusion reactors. They are heavily armed as one such reactor provides enough energy for the entire city and more.

Biomechanical engineering and the repairing of wounds has seen a huge increase in efficieny, but Is by far able to prevent mortal wounds from fully recovering. Unless using experimental ‘methods’.

Outside of Girda, within the other cities and even more on the plains and outlying villages, technology is far less advanced. Some have even dropped back to as far as the middle ages.

Rules (Important for new people):

- Have fun!

- Try and keep it realistic with your character. Even if you are say a Vampire, they have weaknesses. Do not worry about using those.
- Try and keep godmodding, metagaming to a minimum.
- If your character would do a major event that affects many, post it first in the OOC or contact the GM.
- If possible try and post a minimum of one paragraph. Even if one posts about how their feet look (for instance) you can easily get more details in your posts.
- Third person is preferred.
- Read the story to stay up to date before posting.

Appearance: Ethan Mardus is around 6 feet high and weighs around 200 lbs, he has a muscular build and has a golden red fur. Ontop of his head he sports long black hair that is neatly trimmed.

In terms of clothing Mardus prefers high quality costumes. Most of the time A blue silken vest adorned with golden trimming with a beige-like pants. The attire is completed with various medals and a ribbon with the Girda crest on it.

Personality: A cruel person in general. Mardus does everything to stay in power and keep control of his city. Even if this mean doing acts of extreme violence. He uses corruption, manipulation and more and loves doing it. He has a bit of a masochistic streak to him, enjoying seeing others in agony, both mental and physical.

History: Not much is known on this man. And what is known are rumors and secrets that can’t be verified. The only truly known fact is that he rules Girda with an iron fist.

 Fur Color: Dark-brown with lighter furr around the muzzle and chest.
 Hair Color: Lighter Brown, put up with gel in small spikes to the front but still wavy.
 Distinguishing Marks: A large scar on his left cheek. Has a very long tail with a darker patch of fur running from the tip towards his neck.

Personality:
Tio can be described as calm and soft, but coolheaded and confident to his friends. Caring and compassionate he will protect his friends till his last breath.
 Putting up a smile for others even when feeling down, Tio finds joy in the happiness of others.
 
 At times the most of simple things can calm him down and bring his mind to rest. He has shown to at times to overdo himself when he has a task planned leading at times to humours events.

History:
Tio was born to poverty and has since he can remember been wandering around the continent. He has learned skills in fighting in close combat at a young age and has honed these fighting methods. Being forced to even steal and trying to survive on almost nothing has resulted in his body amassing muscle mass. He has since of recent learned that the city of Girda might provide a better future for him and has set course to the city.It is his hope that he can find a job and finally settle down. Yet a darker past seems to follow the male wherever he goes.He rarely talks about his past to others however, unless he truly trusts them. Which has not happened once.

Appearance: Her long silvery white hair is normally tied into a single pony tail, the purple ribbon in her hair contrasting the pale shade of her hair and her skin. The most striking feature are her eyes, the large purplish pink iris's have a dull almost empty look to them as well as think slit pupils.

 Fur Color: N/A
 Hair Color: Silver/white
 Distinguishing Marks: Tattoos on her neck and right arm.

Personality: Abby is cold and bordering on cruel to outsiders her history has taught her that being anything other than that leads to poeple getting hurt or worse, but once she befriends somebody she becomes extremely loyal to them and willing to defend them at any cost.

History: Not much is known about Abby as she always keeps to herself and has a tendency to hide her past, All that is known for certain is that she ran away from her fathers home at a young age and ended up befriending a vampire who eventually turned her before he mysteriously vanished.
