Best and Worst episodes of Spongebob
« on: September 04, 2013, 10:54:38 PM »
Many spongebob fans agree that the series had a strong start but started to decline in quality since the original writers left.
SpongeBob episodes range from Good, to decent, to bad. So out of the 200+ episodes made so far what would you consider the best and worst. Here is mine

Best: Rock Bottom, I like the use of creative, abstract humor in this episode
Band Geeks: Its funny to see all the characters in Bikini Bottom try to form a band and fail over and over.
The Bully: It's hard to explain why this episode is funny, You'll just have to watch it

Worst: The splinter: Don't plan on eating while watching this episode
Boating Buddies: Punishes Squidward for absolutely nothing
To love a patty: OKAY, WHO IN GOD'S NAME THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA

Best: Jellyfishing - Indescribably creative and funny.
The Camping Episode - C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E-S-O-N-G Song and it always had its best moments without going overboard.
Squidward The Unfriendly Ghost - Also one of the most indescribably funny and creative episodes.

Worst: Basically all the episodes Spongebob and Patrick go overboard and make Squidward wanna kill himself.

Three of my favorites are Band Geeks, The Bully, and the one with the piece of paper.

The worst are pretty much the ones after 2007 when Stephen Hillenburg left the show.

My favorite episode is definitely "Best Day Ever." I think the storyline is really sweet and I enjoy musical numbers. I love the song in that one. XD

My least favorite is "Ugh", the Spongebob B.C. episode. I don't like Patchy the Pirate, and for some reason he bugs me the most in this one. I also happened to see this one replayed wayyyy too much in reruns, and I thought the episode was overall just kind of boring to begin with. I'm also not a big fan of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, so I'm never thrilled to see any of their episodes.

Although I like Spongebob, I don't get to watch it all the time, and I don't think I ever heard the thing about the original writers leaving. That's interesting to know. I've seen a lot more of "old Spongebob" than I have of "new Spongebob", and I hadn't noticed a difference just based on what I've seen.

Best day ever was an okay episode. It had a decent story and the song was pretty catchy. But I wouldn't necessarily call it the best.
I agree that SpongeBob BC was a pretty bad episode. It was boring and the plot wasn't very good.

the best episode to me was when he ripped his pants, but it was also overplayed...

pretty much everything after 2004 was crap

You don't have to be great to start, you only have to start to be great.
