Student asking for help (Again!)
« on: November 15, 2013, 03:45:04 AM »
Greetings! My name is Kristian Hansen, a student currently working on his MA dissertation for Political Science.  Part of this paper revolves around how people communicate online. In particular, I am interested in learning about the relationship between a person’s feelings regarding his/her online social groups, self-perception and offline social interaction.

I have previously reached out to the furry community for help with another paper about a year and a half ago and I have to say that I was quite pleasantly surprised by your response. Trying to distribute a survey is usually quite a distressing task as one has to be prepared for a torrent of negative and angry responses but your community was not only polite towards my request but also one of the most generous in terms of the amount of people willing to reply. Even though I came to you as an outsider, you helped me out tremendously. Not many communities are like that and it was quite the pleasant experience to see that there are people in this world willing to help a complete stranger.

Now, I hate to sound like I’m attempting to take advantage of your generosity, but I’m reaching out to you once more for help. If you would be willing to spend a little time completing the following survey then it would really be a great help for me.

Thanks in advance. If you have any questions or comments in regards to the survey then please ask.
