So... GTA V for PC, worth it?
« on: January 06, 2015, 06:09:06 AM »
No, seriously, is it worth it? I already have it for ps3, but I saw all the cool stuff they had on the next gen version. Then I noticed I have a laptop, and a Steam. I'm level 102 in GTA Online, I don't wanna have to start from square one, nope, uh uh, screw that noise. I also don't wanna have to imagine playing GTA V with a keyboard and mouse, ugh *shudders* the very thought of it, I think I threw up a little- seriously! How can you say you enjoy gaming on a keyboard and mouse? That's like telling me you enjoy the taste of Pabst blue Ribbon... you ain't foolin anybody. Anyways, is it worth it? I'm honestly tempted, but I'm quite conflicted.

Well, they added the ability to change into first person, which they did so much more than just change the camera's angle and position.

But if you can't transfer your levels from one platform to another, I'd say it isn't worth it if you already paid to get the next-gen console version.

For those who aren't willing to buy into a platform that will not last forever, didn't want to pay $60, and/or using a controller over mouse and keyboard. Several reasons, not even counting the vast modding community out there.

Well, maybe if it goes on sale for 20% or more off, then I could say that it's worth it for the PC. I don't think that GTA Online levels are exclusive to console accounts, so if you use the same login information, you should be able to have your levels transferred. But, this is all just google research on my end, so I can't say for certain.

Also, you can use a console controller for a PC. It just takes some extra downloading if you're not using an Xbox controller, which I imagine you don't have as a ps3 owner.

Correct. And all that downloading sounds like a burden... ugh. Guess I gotta drive down to best buy for a PC controller. Of all times to give up leisure... XD

Levels get transferred via the social network, so your GTA online character can be imported from console to PC

I'm gonna get it for PC for several reasons, even though I already have it for xbox. Better controls, better graphics, first person, more animals, more people, more cars, stuff like that.
