So this is the thread where I'm going to post all my different poem and other things as I wrote them. Be sure to check in every so often to find something new. I'll start with a poem I wrote last month.

Like Me

Surely you've felt the rain dance in your mind
Forming puddles of sorrow
Surely you've felt the sun shine on your brain
Letting you know you'll be okay
But have you ever felt the rain over your head
When those around you were warm and bright?
Then maybe you're like me.

Surely you've felt the fire burn in your heart
Igniting you with passionate hate
Surely you've felt the fire also burn for another
Filling you with passionate love
But has your flame scorched those you care for most
And you simply couldn't extinguish it?
Then maybe you're like me

If you've ever felt darkness swallow you whole
Only to spit you back into the light
And you've willingly embraced that dark side
Just to spare those who shine bright
If you've ever felt on the edge of drowning
And you know you can gasp for air
But you would rather let yourself sink to the bottom
Than drag others in with you
Then maybe you're like me

But if you're someone whose light never fades
Whose love never burns out
Who is always a breath of fresh air
Who can push the clouds away, keep those around you afloat, and soothe the red hot pain locked away inside
Then maybe you can save those who are like me

The Frisky Fox

Bouncing and bounding in the bright baking sun
The frisky fox frolicked through the flowers
Sitting by the side, sipping and slurping the stream
Napping and nipping on nuts and things
Maybe even munch on a mouse or two
I'm living the life of a luscious fox

What Is Censorship?

What is censorship?
Saying that our natural born bodies are inappropriate to be seen by anyone.
Censorship is protecting people from the loving act of sex, while allowing them to soak up the hateful acts of violence.
Denying the media freedom of speech by bleeping out words that are deemed offensive.
Censorship?
It's limiting access of information deemed disagreeable by our government with their current regime.
What is censorship?
Cutting off internet access for fear of the world changing.
Imprisoning people for speaking their mind.
Telling us what we can and can't think.
It's forbidding us to be our own individual person with our own mind.
What is censorship?
If we do nothing, then censorship is normal, and being normal will become a crime.

Lol, thank you. I came up with this poem because of the disturbing amount of censoring parts of the world are going through, especially in Asia and most specifically China. I fear that one day, more governments may step up and try to control everything we see and hear.

Not to mention that [censored due to censoring with a censor]
