Um. So, I'm Alex. I'm 15, I'm a homosexual, I live in the UK, and I think I'm a furry. Or something like that. I'm not too sure. See, today I went to a convention, and saw a group of four people in fur-suits, and they were the main people I wanted to get a picture with. I'm pretty shy, so I didn't strike up a conversation really, but they were so so friendly and nice. Plus, the fur-suits were so so soft...
Also, there's other reasons, but I've been wondering a lot. Am I a furry? I'm not like afraid or disgusted with myself, furries are awesome, but I've never really thought of myself as wanting to be one properly, until quite recently.
Yeah. What're y'alls thoughts? Also feel free to talk to me about anything, although I'm shy in person, I'm pretty friendly on here :D

-) I like most music genres, but my favourites are Pop Punk, Post Hardcore and EDM.

We're all a friendly bunch--and pretty goofy much of the time!

The only requirement to be a furry is to be a fan of anthropomorphic animal characters. Everything else is optional. You don't even need a fursona!

You make it up. Many people create them based on traits they have, or traits they wish to have, and pick an animal that generally fits them. As time goes on, some change their fursonas as they change in real life, or just get sick of the old one and want to try something new.

Or some just choose to be whatever for no reason whatsoever. XP

I don't have a set fursona anymore, but the characters I use in roleplays and whatnot tend to be bears.

I hope your experiences here are memorable and the people you meet are friendly.

On the topic of finding a fursona, it might take time. Choose something you like or which has symbolic significance to you perhaps? Something that you consider yourself similar in characteristics to, or maybe the entire opposite. In the end, it is your choice.
