My fursona is male, so yeah, opposite gender. Most of my characters in general are male. There was a time when my fursona was female, but that changed several months ago.

Looking at this thread makes my gender dysphoria intensify. :F

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but either way I feel this topic is very... Uhmmm... Steeped in the binary? Gender is a spectrum, not really a one or the other thing and so there's not really an "opposite" gender. Things like that can be non-inclusive to nonbinary folks or really anyone that doesn't belong in the strictly male or female category. Moral of the story? Watch your language as you can exclude and other others by feeding into the binary.
I'm just mainly talking about biological sex/gender I don't intend to exclude non binary and such things like that I'm just referring to people who chose to have a sona of the opposite gender I mean imo you could easily make a truly non binary sona by not giving it any genitals or gender expression,it could be hard to make a good one that wouldn't be place on either side of the binary. (Yes binary because your either biologically female or male you're not just born w/o private parts) P.S. Hope I don't offend anyone;also ik the difference between gender expression and biological sex so I'm not ignorant about all this.

Biological sex is a part of binary. There are still outliers and not everyone is born "biologically male" or "biologically female." I am AFAB, but I am still "biologically" a male because I identify as male. My body does not make me less male and implying that there are only two genders excludes binary people whether you mean to or not. The whole "biology" argument is transphobic because you are labeling someone else's body. I am only saying you need to be more educated on the subject or say "Do you have a male or female character" because again, gender is a spectrum and even if someone is assigned a gender at birth, ""biologically"" speaking they are no less of the gender they identify as because they have certain sex organs. There are males with vaginas, females with penises and everything in between.

What I mentioned also can apply to transgendered people if your ftm or mtf you can still have a sona "of the opposite gender" like I said I don't mean to exclude anyone! But again you must understand whille a trans person can identify as the other gender if they don't intend to eventually go through sex reassignment surgery then they're still the gender they originally were, that doesn't mean I'll be an ass and missgender them after all it's not fair, the only time where it does matter is for medical stuff considering males and females each suffer from different things more commonly so the gender assigned at birth has to be accurate in those situations.

Sounds painful and impossible considering the seperation of the ocular and respiratory organs.
