Movies that were crap but you liked anyway

What movies do you like that everyone else hates?

I liked We're Back: A Dinosaur Story. It was really cheesy, everyone overacts, and the premise is kind of pointless. It's also pretty sacharine. Still, I found it quite delightful to sit through, enough to buy it on DVD. John Goodman has a certain paternal charm to his performance, and I actually found the climax quite funny.

I also liked The Phantom Menace. If I were an adult when it came out, I probably would have hated it. As it were, I was nine years old when it came out. I kind of liked Jarjar's design, even though I understand why other people don't like him.

Lady in the Water had a very nice ambience to it. Yeah, Shyamalayan prophecying his victim complex was kind of dumb, but in hindsight, it was actually pretty funny. I thought the music was very refreshing, too.

Pretty much every Godzilla movie is on this list. Just action, no real story but it is fun to watch.

Oh, forgot about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the 2005 version. Most people I know prefer Gene Wilder, but I liked Danny Elfman's soundtrack and ambience painted by Tim Burton. I saw it when I was moving to my current town when I was 15, and it just stuck with me.

I need to read more Roald Dahl...

I liked Suicide Squad, even though it’s not very good. Mostly I just like Margot Robbie’s perfect portrayal of Harley Quinn.

My pick would be The Room. Not the one about the woman surviving a kidnapping. No, im talking about the one witg Tommy Wiseau. Everything from the plot to the settings and characters was terrible. It made no sense for most of the film and was so bad it was funny.
