Just decided to start a thread for those of us who love music that falls far outside of conventional norms. Whether it be because of an unusual mix of genres, self-made or modified instruments, unusual rhythms and time signatures, atonality, or sounds from objects not classified as instruments, talk about it here and what draws you to it. Anything from Stravinsky to Frank Zappa to Pink Floyd (Especially with Syd Barrett) to Sun Ra to Tom Waits is allowed. As long as it's something out of the ordinary, feel free to post here about it.
