Final Fantasy 7 Remake
« on: January 25, 2016, 01:29:20 AM »
So...

What are your thoughts on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake?  Personally, I am excited for it because it has been WAY too long for them to do something like this.  However, I am a little cautious of the fact that they are going to release it episodically.  If they make you pay for each episode and altogether it will be more than the normal 60 USD, then I will wait until it all comes out and they have a box set or something that has all of them all at once.

Here are links to the trailers if you haven't seen them yet.

Not liking the fact it's episodic, but then I suppose that's so they can finish the entire game. You know how Square Enix are like with procrastinating XD, so I think the whole episodic approach is more to keep them focused :P

I'm looking forward to it. I'm not the type of Final Fantasy fan who are scared of change and have comdemned the series from 10 onwards. In fact, 12 and he 13 series were great, which I enjoyed.

What I'm looking forward to the most though are the loud, obnoxious die hard FF7 fanboys who'll start whining due to the lack of random battles and the possible change of the Materia system :P

Totes should get a FF6 remake. Not to poop on 7, but my the character development in 6 was superior.

FF9 was quite a good one, the leveling was addictive with the AP system. Story and characters where good as well.
